I WILL Rise | Poetry

I will rise.
I will not let anyone shatter me with their sharp words
I will not put up with things that cause me to hurt.
I will not let anyone take my smile from me.
I will not put up with the negativity.

I will rise.
I will not let my anger get the best of me.
I will not climb that "bully tree".
I will not just sit there, take it & cry.
Instead, I'll do one better
I will rise.

When I'm feeling attacked & like i can't push through,
I'll take a deep breath & look up to you.
I'll breathe into my faith no matter where I'm at,
because when push comes to shove I know you got my back.

I will rise
